What is PEMF?

because your dog deserves the same level of care you do
PEmf is trusted by vets

It’s essential to know that PEMF therapy isn’t just about managing pain. It also plays a vital role in making your dog healthier. It does this by improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, and helping your dog’s cells repair themselves.

What to expect

During a session, your pup will relax on a specialized mat that we’ll cover with cozy blankets, their favorite toys, maybe even a few treats – all while gentle electromagnetic pulses are working at the cellular level.

Your PEMF professional will arrive at your provided location at the agreed upon time and bring the equipment, which includes a small plastic box and a specialized mat about the size of a large dog bed, inside. We’ll get to know each other you and your dog, then we’ll work with you to cover the mat with comfortable, happy items for your dog to make it a happy place.

Then, we’ll turn the PEMF on low to introduce the dog to the therapy. Everything goes at their speed, and we allow them to approach the mat when they are ready. Typically, dogs are drawn to it and come settle on the mat, often falling asleep.

Once the session is completed, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have, give your pup a final pat, and be on our way!

No major preparation needed! Make sure your pup is prepared for a relaxing hour, which may include ensuring that they have had what they need to eat or drink, have had an opportunity to go outside and relieve themselves, and identifying a spot in your space where they won’t be disturbed and they feel comfortable. We’ll take care of the rest!

Frequently asked questions
  • What should I expect during the first session? We’ll bring the equipment (a small box and a pad the size of a large pet bed) into your home, cover the pad with cozy blankets and things your pup loves, and turn the machine on low. The dog will likely come lay down on it, and we will adjust the settings throughout the session as appropriate. Everything goes at your and the dog’s speed and comfort level.
  • What will my dog feel during the session? Relaxed, mostly! Typically, dogs are drawn to the PEMF mat because they sense that it’s good for them, and they often fall asleep.
  • Are there any dogs that shouldn’t do PEMF? Yes – dogs who are pregnant, are actively bleeding, have pacemakers, or whose vet recommends against it for any reason should not do PEMF.
  • How often should my dog do PEMF, and for how long? We recommend hourlong sessions, 1-3 times per week, for at least 4 weeks. It is up to each dog and owner how long makes sense for them and their goals for the sessions.
  • Can I, the human dog owner, do PEMF? Absolutely! Reach out directly via email or phone if you are interested in treatment for a human.
